Hi! I'm having the same issue with my 340 Six Pack carbs. I installed the QF billet metering plates front and back and put #77 and #70, left-right respectivelly. But the idle feed restrictors are at 0,039 on both plates.
I was under the asumption that the cast plates had 0,029 on Small blocks...
Purplebeeper were did you got the 0,029 idle feed restrictors for the Quickfuel plates? They are 4-40 thread and I cant find them at Sunmit.. Do you have a part number?
Great news Purple!!! I've been following this thread and I'm happy to know you sorted things out. Impresive how much your Vaccum read has changed!!! Good!!!
It will be of great help to other if you can post your carbs calibration for reference.
Very interesting reading!!! I've just put toghether a 340 Six PAck engine and every bit of info about Six Pack tunning is of great help!!! Hope you sort the bugs out!!!
Contacted Bob already and sent the payment. Now the long wait until I got the tool since I'm abroad. Great solution to tune the Six Pack on my 340. I never wanted the Promax parts, they dont look good there, at least for me that I like the stock look.
Hi Bob! I want to buy a full set from you! Great tool!!! How can we arrange this?
