Many thanks for your feedback! During the restoration the radiator got a new core with four rows, fuel line is 3/8" and I am already using the 180 Stant Super Stat - good to see that there are no issues with different conditions in your bigger engines with more horsepower.
Do you still use the...
Hi,
I am driving a 68 Road Runner with 4-speed and 489 rear end, engine is a 440 from 1978 without any modifications. I am planning for a mild stroker (440->505 or 400->470), street use only. Looking at the stroker engines build in this forum, did you also modify the cooling, the gas supply...
Hi,
since the grille of my 68 Road Runner is cracked and cut on several sides I am searching for a grille for the 68 Road Runner to complete my 7-year-bare-to the-metal-restoration.
Thanks,
Thorsten
Uh-oh, the grille was never chromed? Then I will have the chrome removed and then start to polish the top and bottom. From the squares I have only one picture from the front side and I do not know if this is original. If you increase it in the viewer, I think it looks brighter than black...
Hi,
doing a bare to the metal restoration on my 68 Road Runner I started the carpet installation. From several threads in this great forum, I have learned that the accelerator pedal is located in the upper right corner of the heel pad but I could not find any pictures, showing "the rest" of...
Hi,
I am restoring a Plymouth Road Runner 68 and had my grill re-chromed. Now I need to paint it "the cells". Does anybody have detailed pictures which parts of the grill have to be painted? As far as I know, the color was dark gray and not black, right?
Thanks,
Thorsten
Thanks for your feedback, I already have contacted the shop (Jacksautoparts). Hope that I get some feedback from them and the option to send the wrong harness back and get the correct one.
Yes, this is the connector on my old dash harness:
And these are the connectors on the new one (HU269B)... cable colors, number of cables and connector are completely different:
Hi,
I am restoring a 68 Road Runner and bought a new dash harness from MH wiring harness (Yearone, Classicindustries, e.g.). Assembling the dash, nearly all connectors to my (non-ralley) dash are fine but for one, the dash harness doesn't fit, even the colors are wrong. I attached a photo of...
Hi,
restoring a 68 Road Runner I had to buy a new turn signal switch. The old connector for the cables on the turn signal switch (the clear one, 10 prong) is really bad. Is there a replacement part?
Thanks,
Thorsten
If you replace the pilot bearing use a Pilot Roller Bearing, not the original bronze one.
At Mancini it is part no. MOPP4876056AA
