I have two different Polaras in the shop. #1 looking for a gas gauge for a 64 dodge polara- already checked the sending unit and grounded the gauge sender. gauge is not responding. #2 looking for a speedometer drive gear for a 61 polara. thanks in advance.

Cleaning the item well is the key. SEM makes a cleaner but the supply house I get my upholstery supplies says use 409.

Might try something like CLR and a toothbrush. I would assume the stain is impurities and minerals left from the evaporation. C calcium L lime R rust. Used it on other parts before. Never aluminum. Might try a small spot first.
