I need help identifying a Chrysler manual Tranny.
It's on the back of a 71 440 that I pulled out of a 74 Road Runner rust bucket.
I've never taken it off the back of the engine.
Are the numbers in the photo a clue to what I have, or are there other identifying markings elsewhere on the...
It has
Headers and a solid, one piece header gasket on it.
Also some goofy looking Chrome valve covers. When I get it out if this car, I'll see if I can find those numbers interested as to what body it left the factory in. Currently in a '75 Road Runner.
Can someone familiar with block stamping tell me what I have please?
On the flat, machined surface in front of the intake manifold, it is stamped:
H 440
4 26 2
Any help with what I have would be appreciated.
I'm assuming the 4 26 2 would mean it was built on April 26th 1972.
