Find a vented cap?

I think I know the car you mentioned,it is on the Moparts forum,a 500 with a 4 speed I think,nice car! I bought my car in 1987 from a guy in Des Moines,Ia.He told me that the guy he bought it from had used it as a pizza delivery car! I think it originally may have been from Minn/St Paul.

Has anyone seen it? Still curious about what became of it!

The slotted holes on the header panel where the Charger headlight doors would mount look empty...I'll guess it's a Coronet.

Should this car have the torque boxes where the leaf springs mount?

I 've had this part (the plastic gear) fail on two Coronets,a '66 & a '67.The cause of failure both times was that the odometer locked up and took out the plastic gear.Make sure the odometer rotates before you replace the the plastic gear or it will surely fail again!

Hey Mike,so the new brackets didn't align with the factory holes in the floorpan? Did your car have factory buckets?

Tell us more about your car Wayne...I came close to buying a '66 Coronet Hemi 4 speed sedan but passed on it after discovering that it had been wrecked & poorly repaired.It was in NE Wisconsin in 1987. It was a real H code Hemi car,painted red at the time but the original color was black or dark...
