Rook's 68 Charger - What have I gotten myself into this time?

Thanks, guys — a buddy of mine lent me a Bristle Blaster for stripping the underseal. That’s where I plan to start, just to see if anything’s hiding underneath. I can already see some patchwork on parts of the frame rail, so I guess in the interest of managing scope creep - does it warrant full...

Rook's 68 Charger - What have I gotten myself into this time?

Thanks - that tracks. Based on the VIN it was a 318 car thats been converted to a 440 drivetrain. I'll make a point to upgrade these to the RT spec when the time comes.

In the interest of efficiency, I've taken a look at some images online to confirm that I'll be measuring the correct points. Feel free to share your feedback if for any reason Im not measuring from...

    Greetings!

Thanks everyone for the messages—really great community here! I like to think I lucked out since most of the parts seem to be there. It looks like the car was taken apart with some care, so hopefully I won’t be hunting down too many small trim pieces (which I know can add up quickly). I’ll be...

Rook's 68 Charger - What have I gotten myself into this time?

Thanks for the comments everyone! Dave, I had a look through your build thread and its very motivating to see your car move through the stages. Thanks for the comment, I have some fundamentals on Tig and with shaping sheetmetal but Im blessed with being around alot of smarter and more...

Rook's 68 Charger - What have I gotten myself into this time?

Hi folks, My name’s Paul, and this is my first classic car project. I’m especially interested in the sheet metal and fabrication side of things, so I’m looking forward to learning a lot as I work through this ’68 Charger build. From what I could gather from the seller, the car was originally...
