Finally got a timing light hooked up... Looks like 15 initial and 20 total without vacuum. 35 total with vacuum

The total is at 35, but I can’t remember what the initial is set at

I added the adjustable PCV valve, and the accelerator pump seems to be working fine, but I'm still stumbling in first gear. It's like I'm trying to take off in third gear. Anybody got any other ideas?

It’s got a Edelbrock 750, and it is in fact a thumper cam

Can I install the adjustable PCV in place of one of the breathers on the valve covers? Or do I need both breathers to stay in place?

I'm curious if it would resolve the issue if I added a PCV valve and moved the brake booster line to the outlet on the back of the carb.

Can someone please explain the best way to disassemble the reverse detent assembly? I've heard horror stories of guys dropping the ball in the ball into the transmission, so I'm hoping to avoid that. Also, is there anything special to re-installing the assembly?

Can someone identify what temp is at the halfway mark on the 1968-1970 rallye temp gauge? I’m guessing 200, but I would like some input from t someone that knows. Also, is there an aftermarket gauge that is a good fit with better temp identification?
