Skids33
Born and raised in the Philadelphia’s Manayunk neighborhood, John (“Skids”) Skidmore has been drawing hotrods with a monstrous flair ever since he received his first Hot Wheels car from his dad in ’68. He started painting and airbrushing on cars along with murals, signs and other media in grade school and continued to build his skills throughout high school, before moving onto the Philadelphia College of Art, where he majored in illustration. An artist with more than 40 years’ experience, Skids applies his talents both as a freelancer and as an in-house artist with a Philadelphia-based entrepreneur. Today, he still enjoys drawing cars and monsters—and living life in the “fast lane with his Mopar Maniac friends.” Check out his work at www.monsterhotrods.com and www.skidscustoms.com.
