I also open the hood to cool down after a drive. Seems to help with starting the next time and cuts the odor from percolation in the bowls. I get grief every day from the wife about carburetor smell, I have tried everything and have largely given up. I might look at reconnecting the EVAP system...
If you are in Connecticut and need engine or head work, go to carlquist competition. They are outside of Waterbury. I would never pay for this kind of work other than with a reputable shop with actual equipment.
Maybe, but i doubt it makes much difference on a street car.
If you mount the regulator to the firewall you can plumb with AN in different configurations and test
I use a holley regulator and the holley cartridge fuel filter on a six pack before the carbs and it works great with the stock...
Thank you Wild R/T I got it installed this weekend, the headers caused some issues so I cant use the stock pivot but I got it in there. I didn't realize there are two pivot points on the 727 housing. OEM linkage works so much better than a cable on the 6 pack thanks again.
I think the cleanest look is using AN fittings and braided fuel line. Once you figure out how to cut them, it is so easy to work with. If you are using a pressure regulator then OE appearance is out the window anyways so just use the AN. That 270 degree adapter is an AN type fitting you can get...
I finally got a stock throttle linkage for hooking up a six pack to a 727 throttle valve which will replace my bouchillon cable. I can figure out the top bellcrank mounting but where does the bottom bell crank bolt to? The factory service manual is not very detailed on this.
Yeah just a thought. I have enough good ones sitting in the garage but I sold the Mopar m1 years ago unfortunately. I do appreciate 440 source, your BBM fuel pump pushrod I installed is still going 5 years later without being ground to a nub and your support for stroker kits, trick flow and...
Any carb will do that if the jetting and idle mixture is not set correctly. If you don't want to change the cam, just learn to adjust the carburetor you have. Hesitation off idle..probably lean jetting or insufficient accelerator pump shot. Good luck with your carb tuning journey.
I don't race...
Manual brakes, about 11-12 inches vacuum. I could only find the Chevy xs290s for some reason, I've had my cam for about 8 years and it runs well with occasional valve adjustments. I would recommend for a streetable stroker.motor.
The AVS wont solve anything. Just change the cam.
I run a comp xs290s solid flat tappet in my 499, street car with a six barrel and trick flow heads but I have run an 800 AVS and a brawler 950 on it previously. AVS is too small, brawler was great but if I ever ditch the six pack I would not be...
I run them at 32psi right now, I will probably match rusty for autox. They have a good sidewall compared to any of the MT drag radials, I have no qualms about putting them in the front but right now I only have 15x7's for using 225/70 so I'm still running BFG.
I'm ordering 15x8 and 275/60 from...
NT555r2's on magnum 500's. 275/60 R15. I've always been a raised white letter Mopar owner, but not after taking these out for a long drive. So much traction I'll never go back.
