That shot of Collings' Foundation B24 "Witchcraft" above with the bombs coming out of it was us out here. I was onboard manning a camera inside the ball turret on an earlier flight filming the bombs coming out of the bomb bay. Great fun!

Can someone help ID these seats?

There were rats living in the car. They were using the build sheet for nest-making material. There's not enough left to read anything of use from. As another clue, there was a plastic shoulder belt loop on the corner of the headrest. In the close up pic of the headrest, you can see the screw...

Can someone help ID these seats?

These were in my 68 charger when I bought it, but they don't appear to be 68 charger seats. They do appear to be Mopar seats and there's even remains of a broadcast sheet under one. Does anybody recognize them?

On the FW190 subject, many people aren't aware that the Grumman F8F Bearcat was designed with features learned from allied evaluation of captured FW190's. Compare pics of those two side by side and the similarities are quite striking especially with respect to the forward fuselage/wing/gear.

Bladecutter, I don't have any pictures myself of the Super Ventura I worked on. I'll poke around and see if I can find something on it. I do seem to recall hearing something along the lines of that story of the DEA and the Howard. The super Ventura was very similar to the 500, basically a...

Is this 4-speed worth looking into?

Thanks guys. Glad to get confirmation of my thoughts on it. I long considered a 5 speed conversion, but for the use/abuse this transmission is surely in for, I'm not sure a 5-speed will handle it, plus I can't say I'm really keen on the idea of any changes to my torsion bar crossmember or...

Bladecutter, I was involved in an effort to get a Howard Super Ventura airworthy again. It's been sitting derelict up in Chico, CA with no engines on it for years. We did a bit of work to it, but the owner got distracted with a free Lockheed PV-2D that he was given that we got flyable. It's now...

Is this 4-speed worth looking into?

This is listed on Craigslist locally. http://sacramento.craigslist.org/pts/5393646086.html It's about 20 min from me. The transmission is a basket case and a 23 spline at that. I talked to the owner and it needs 1st-2nd cluster replaced. I'm wanting it to convert my 68 charger to 4-speed. I...

I make my living restoring WWII aircraft. Currently working on a SBD-4 dauntless, SB2C-1A helldiver, and F4U-1 corsair at the moment.
