    3M Cavity Wax Application Demo

I used that 3M cavity wax back when I worked at a body shop, and it worked really well. It comes with three different length wands, which is handy, but it’s pretty expensive if you're the one paying for it. If you're doing a lot of panel replacements, it's worth getting a wax injector instead...

Ideas needed to help kill door rattles

I thought the rattling was part of the mopar experience? :p Foam with adhesive backing works well on handle and lock linkages. Sound deadening pads inside the door shell help as well for general NVH issues.

Anyone delete the vinyl roof, but keep the chrome trim?

Do you know what the roof-to-quarter seam looks like? I ask because I have a 1969 Coronet in the shop that I'm installing full quarters on. I'm not sure if this applies to all vinyl top cars or just Lynch Road cars, but for vinyl top models, they used seam sealer on the quarter-to-roof joint and...

Welding observations that I have made....

+1 on the ear plugs. You never know when a piece of molten slag will fall directly into your ear.

Trunk lid adjustment stuck, ideas to free up?

Maybe the arm was bent and it was forced on? Its hard to tell without seeing it.

    Inner fender rust removal

I wouldn't worry about warping the aprons. There's lots of rigidity there. If you were doing exterior panels, that is a different story.

    Inner fender rust removal

I would blast and epoxy the inners.

    Making new fender tag

I used dataplates4u for a Willy's I did awhile back. They were the correct brass and looked sharp. Pretty close to the real thing. Not sure how their Mopar fender tags are. I'm sure the fender tag sniffers will be able to tell the difference.

69 satellite PS AMD door fitment thoughts

This is the way. I'll use panel bond, like 3m's 8115, along the perimeter of the door skin, gives you about 1.5 hours work time to manipulate the door for fitment then cures solid. No welding required. Its also rust inhibiting.

69 satellite PS AMD door fitment thoughts

You could do a relief cut, bend the metal to where you want it, then weld it up.

Body filler options….what do you use?

I was technician at a collision shop for 10+ years. We had a contract with 3M, so we really only used 3Ms light weight filler. Never had any issues with it, but like any filler, it needs to be applied properly. A few times our supplier ran out and we would get some Evercoat Rage Gold which is...
