Would it bother you if a new series came along and it featured a 1999 Camaro or 1999 Mustang as the lead car and they ended up wrecking a bunch?

Get it in good running condition, and do as much work to it that you can and drive it at the same time. Save as much cash as you can, buy little parts here and there, and enjoy it!

Uh, there's a reason they have "hobby" plates here in Wisconsin. They cost the same and they don't expire. $200 if I remember right.
