Well im starting to lean towards the light gunmetal . I think it looks a little blue-ish, which makes it more interesting to me than regular metallic gunmetal. But im not sure yet. I really dont want to go with the over-the-top colors on this particular car, while i love them, its more...
So i sent my car off for body work about two years ago and it was never finished, so i brought it home the other day and will be using a different shop. Originally I was going to opt for an all white charger, but now that i have it back i may change my mind. The car was originally B1 Powder...
Yea, some of you might have been able to "scrap better cars" but that does not mean everyone has the money to buy a real R/T car etc. Hey, at least its being saved in one form or another... maybe one day if the owner has more cash to spare or the car becomes worth more money it will see a proper...
Well my old one is similar to this:

But i really dont care what i replace it with, will it really matter so long as the bracket will fit?
back to the project after a break for about a year;
Long story short i am going to purchase a replacement power steering pump and destroyed the old pulley, so i can not reuse it. It is in my 72 but i assume the pump is a 68, as it was original to the motor (which is the 1968 Magnum 440 that is...
When i was a kid my dad had traded a lawnmower for a 1972 dodge charger then traded a van for a mildly built 68 440 and tossed the 318 for it. That car really was the coolest thing in the world to me and it was a Big Block (hey, i grew up in the 90s all i knew is it was awesome) That now belongs...
Well i wouldn't want to minitub because its overkill on the car and its really a street car that only sees the track out of curiosity. Im only around 400 hp but when i launch i cant get traction whatsoever and slicks are a cheap performance gain (that i already have access to i just dont want to...
Alright... time to get some dumb questions out of the way.... My 72 charger is still sitting on the 8 1/4 open dif from its 318 days and i really dont have the money to spend on a whole new 8 3/4 with a LSD or locker. I was wondering if drag slicks would do anything or if the open diff defeats...
Well im guilty of favoritism... I love my old Dodge and generally defend mopars but i grew up on them. My dads 94 ram custom has almost 500,000 miles and weights over 10,000 pounds fully loaded (work truck and trailer.) Stock V6 still pulling along. I also have soft spot for Fords, i own two...
You do NEED new motor mounts... not a bad idea though... swaps are really easy on the b bodies and its a close fit with the power steering but it should fit just fine (i had to bend my headers a bit so they didn't rub.) Everything else you can probably make but a new radiator is almost a must.
