the Blue is a late K , 66/67 on ? With idler arm mounted between ears and bolt through . More secure and easier idler to buy . Looks like original was a early K frame - idler arm has pin at each end ? If so the blue K will move motor back due to change in mount position . My understanding later...

    Winter plans for the Roadrunner

my understanding is it is really all about ring seal . Which is why they use a low tension/thinner (?) ring set. Less ring drag but vacuum assists with seal . Mild side effect is potential to reduce oil weepage/leakage . Motor must be built to take best advantage of it . Little to be gained...

Where do your safety rules fall exactly re rollbar , cage , safety clothing etc ? Here in Oz when I first got to that thinking . Vehicle was teched sub 11.00 . At this point you needed a minimum 5 pt rollbar that was good to 10.00 . Rollcage below 10.00 . The Satellite was dipping into high...

LW , only 1 extra thing I can think of . Havent seen too many do it . If going to a motorplate I would be measuring and checking to use studs @ waterpump housing where it mounts . Check ARP for separate availability AND broached for allen key . Means even if you pull stuff off front of motor it...

LW i run the 880 bar . Due to difficulty in locating the 840 I wouldnt worry too hard . I have a World block sitting on top of mine no worries . Do you have actual weight of fglass fenders or weighed both , steel/fglass ? Like you I have gotten more race than street now i have a rollbar. But as...

End of the race season, results and future plans

Doug , awesome . I should have noted the USA has a huge market of used truck/trailers/motorhomes that I am sure helps . Dont forget there is only about 27 million of us . Only seen the american pickup trucks new here in the last 5-8 years , supplied as RHD and all well north of $100k. Our market...

Dragway 42 Buckeye Stock S/S report. Many wouldv'e thrown in the towel, not me

certainly a trial . At least got a few rounds and a couple of $ . Must be tight in there to need to pull radiator for pump - or do you pull fans/rad combined ? I feel your pain with different plugs , I have gone through that with ignition boxes redone them to the same now . Tex

Stunk it up at NDRL in Muncie. Now with video

Doug , that is similar to what I finally worked out with my Plymouth . When track worse dont loosen rebound I tighten comp , took a while for me to figure that . I run the PBR 29.5 x 10.5 @ 18psi footbrake or tbrake . Never run rag slicks on Plymouth . Tex

The Elephant In The Room: unloading the load from a B-body.

weight isnt big issue per se . I have a World siamese iron block it weighs right at 300 lbs with caps . Goes as fast as my factory block did , probably a little more when warm/hot . Certainly more consistant and less heat affected . Tex

Pro Bracket Radials vs. Bias slicks

the 29.5x10.5 PBR is 30"tall . I have run them since 2018 used he 28x10.5 before that . I bracket race so prep not always the best , i can probably count on one hand how many times i have flat spun . Though i do occasionaly get a semi spin where tyre walks out /chirps . No growth in diameter ...
