Got the old girl washed last night. She’s not mint but considering she sat for almost a decade…… dropped the fuel tank and have a replacement. Gas now a days is no good if it sits around.
Got my 727 this am. Need to clean it up and will bolt together
The sitting up look which has settled a bit now is supposed to have a mid 70’s look. Slammed is fine for some but I prefer the *** up look.
This power plant is going into the big c body. That car also is rear high. Just like it was 20 years ago when I initially built it.
Things got off track the last 4 months. I won’t get into the details but the last couple weeks I was able to start working on this again.
I now have the engine completely ready to bolt in. I just need to get my trans from the shed and put my shift kit in it.
I have a reasonable solid roller cam...
I have checked just cause I was interested to know. This was on a 67 c body after about 200 mile run @ 80 mph average speed. Went to a buddy’s house and swap wheels with him so we both were interested. Cold was about 0.015” hot was 0.002”. I always set mine about 0.015” but I too am guilty of...
Exactly why I bought the 2 piece I have on my charger. 15x10’s - 4.75” backspace with a 28x12 rear tire. (You can order whatever backspace you want). They fit in the wheel well but the originals looks nicer then what I have. But I always wanted the daisy’s so that’s what I bought for my car.
What do you currently have for an engine? Do you have something that runs? Are you starting from scratch? My car originally had a 383. But I didn’t have a running engine so I had a 440 as well. I opted to build the 440 as building a 383 or 440 costs the same. Why do people build stroker engines...
It wasn’t the heat I was so worried about. When I bumped the top (cap) came off exposing the innards and it shorted out and sparked I then grabbed it and Bruned myself as I was trying to prevent it from hitting anything else under the dash. Being on your back with big hands and $h!t hitting the...
So I replaced my hazard flasher in my car as the blinker one crapped out last year so I thought I would get that done tonight. I was under the dash and bumped this and it sparked.. end fall off and got really hot really fast. I had the hazard blinker on and of course the interior lights were on...
Well it’s been a busy year and a half. Work has sucked so much of my time. But I’ve done allot of parts trading/fixing on the side and tune ups but I finally have my tunnel ram and carbs and air cleaners. Just waiting for my Heim joints so I can connect the carbs then I’ll put the tunnel ram on...
I agree with the dyno numbers.
Hp is a calculated number from torque @ rpm. Watch dyno pulls. Torque and hp # is the same at 5250 rpm.
I’ve seen 450 2L turbo engines be slower than a 320hp 360cu in in a a body. The cars were very close in weight. Cause his power band was so small and I had...
