    Mini Starter

The reman starters from the parts store have short studs for both the battery cable and trigger wire. My 440 has one installed now that came from O’reilly’s about 3 years ago. It’s shot now, and instead of replacing it with the same thing, I thought I’d give a factory Chrysler one a whorl...

Good news; thanks. How did u adapt the relay wire? Did u use the pigtail off the van? Or crimp on a whole new female connector? Installed on an RB I’m assuming?

    Mini Starter

The car has a parts store mini starter in it now; fits just fine (other than being shot after a few years). I’ll make sure to compare the studs for clearance before I go slapping it in. Thanks for the heads up.

    Mini Starter

I picked up a factory Denso unit out of a 2001 pickup to install in my 440 powered Coronet. Since it's modern trigger wire connector cannot be removed, I am thinking of adapting my cars wire to snap into this plug for easier hook-up. Any recommendations on where to find a female connector and...

    Front Wheel Bearings - Disc's

Thank you so much for all your help, and answering my numerous questions. Everything else had been touched on this car since I put it together a few years ago; was always curious what the front brake set up is. Now I know! Parts are on the way!!

    Front Wheel Bearings - Disc's

1 3/8'' spindle diameter I searched bearings on Summit for a 1976 Aspen. A part number confirmation would be awesome and much appreciated. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/tmk-set17/applications/year/1976/make/dodge/model/aspen?prefilter=1...

    Front Wheel Bearings - Disc's

Thanks for the link. Again... sorry for asking remedial questions; but after reading the article, I am wondering what era of hardware I have? I do not have the "slide type" caliper set up, where the caliper housing physically bolts to its bracket. My single piston caliper sits on top of the...

    Front Wheel Bearings - Disc's

Ok. I assume you are referring to the inside diameter of the bearing? i.e. the diameter of the spindle shaft?

    Front Wheel Bearings - Disc's

Thanks for the words of wisdom. Do all the disc conversion kits take the same bearings/seals/etc? Does a guy just search for bearings for a later model B body? Or do I need to pull numbers off the parts I have?

    Front Wheel Bearings - Disc's

Folks, I have had a drive-line noise that bothered me all last summer. Sure enough, the Chinese wheel bearings in my front disc brake converted Coronet are pretty crunchy, when I finally took everything apart. The conversion had already been done before I got the car, and am somewhat...

    440 Rear Main Seal Replacement

Fran Blacker, That must be why it is recommended to remove that main cap, when installing the lower RMS block?

    440 Rear Main Seal Replacement

Thanks bherman. What do you recommend, when sliding in the new seal into the block? Thin layer of silicone on seal/block mating surface? Assembly lube on seal/crank mating surface? I am unsure if I used silicone on the seal when installed last go-around. If so (that'd be my luck), could a guy...
