Sorry to hijack your thread, What markings are needed to make it HP rather then standard 383? I have bare 383 block(too far from you, opposite coast) but haven't determined it's exact date etc,, was told it for 1969, unmolested, not Matching # my 1969 rr,, I must decide to keep or not?

Looking to purchase a air grabber base and cover off cl. Was told it's OEM and in storage for 20 years or so. Have only seen one bad pic so far. Also told it is for 383. In pic base is a silver colour, is this correct? I have only seen black colored base plates. Any help would be great.
