My 68 satellite is almost done with paint and I dismantled the door handles and took the outside to get chromed. Then I noticed that both rts specialties and classic industries offer repop complete mechanism assemblies with all new chrome for 150/pair and 175/pair. Anybody have any experience with these? My concern on repop is fit and function, but the price is not bad.

The chrome will look 40 years old in 6 months. I have purchased quite a few things repop from Classic and OPGI for my brand X cars and the chrome is terrible. Rechrome your originals it will look better longer.

I purchased mine off of ebay (off brand), and they still look perfect nearly a year later out in the weather and fit was perfect as well. They were, I believe... less than $100.-

I had my orginals replated at a local crome shop for about the same cost as the repo's, plus the metal on the orginals is much thicker....

I had all of my chrome (bumpers, door handles, window cranks, window pulls, ashtray, ect.) done by Jims Plating up in Evans City, Pennsylvania. It cost more than the cheap Chinese made parts.
