Im thinking about deleting things on my 73 charger to make it 1. simpler 2. cleaner.
Im thinkin' heater box, eventually radio and unnecessary electrical components and anything underhood that isn't serving an immediate purpose. eventually i would like to get around to doing shaved door handles and pulling the antenna. Any thoughts or feedback from anyone who has done this?

Your a true pioneer!
Blaze the trail, everyone will follow...
Except in cold climates!
Kind of "Pro Street" look huh?

Radios are unnecessary? How will you know which car dealer is having a HUGE INVENTORY REDUCTION SALE and which furniture stores are having ONE NIGHT ONLY CELEBRATIONS in your local tri-county area?

exactly. Now i'm debating leaving the heat but i keep thinking im not going to drive it in the cold if i can help it.

who needs a radio when you have the sound of a beautiful engine

I do too, i jut think shaved handles with door poppers are a very cool alternative

I picked up a NOS passenger fender for my '71 GTX that was not drilled for an antenna. After some debate, I left it that way and got a compact street-rod antenna that I put under the dash. Radio works fine. Not many people notice the feature of the antenna delete, but I think it adds to the clean lines of the car.

i prefer door handles myself

I live in Pa and i don't drive in the cold months either, but being out on a chilly evening, its nice to have defrosters on to keep windshield clear.. Just a thought. And im one who has a great sounding engine i think, but im not going to be without tunes, i get in one of those moods to ride around listening to the old songs my wife and i used to listen to when it was just girl/boy friend couple deal some 39 years ago, it leads to a really great day and lots of fun.. Not trying to change your mind! have fun the way you like, its the only way to go.

hey it's your car do what you want. that being said a heater is a safety item where i live no heater no plates.

Really? wow didn't know that! i like the fender idea, never thought of that! And believe me, i'm one for music too, perhaps ill upgrade to something more compact (only run music through my iPhone anymore.)

if your doing nothing but running it on the track that a cool idea. everyday or even every so often driver when your windshield could fog up, you might want to consider.

true. quick question, could one remove the side trim around the rear window to style it like a rally? obviously some holes would need to be filled but is there anything important hiding behind the trip piece?
