Looking pretty hard for a project 70 Roadrunner or GTX. Car must have a clear title, all vins match and fender tag. I am not looking for a basket case but I am not afraid of metal work either. just looking for a good start and the most car for the money.
Thanks

I looked at this one tonight. Original owner , plum crazy purple , U code 440 ( he says it is 11-1 now but original block) added a Dana 60 , has all the trim and badges and front bezels in the back seat , front buckets. Did not look to be rusted . He was going to change it orange .....

It's really going to depend on the car. I don't really want to pay more than 10k. I'm really looking to be around 1-5k. It doesn't need to have an engine or tranny and I know at that price it will be a full resto and need metal work but even in this economy all I still seem to find is rust bucket basket cases and their owners think they have gold... Obviously the more complete and solid the more I will pay, but I'm not going to give 5k for a car that's stripped down and needs every body panel.

I have a 70 GTX V code I might consider selling..just the rolling body but most everything is there. I dont have the fender tag tho ;(

Not that I would be selling it ever but I would like to have one with a fender tag, doesn't have to be a v code or anything. I may be interested whatchya asking on it?

Yep, still looking... not really interested in a clone. just being a bit picky I guess. keep them coming. I appreciate it.

hard to come by even on the west coast. took me awhile to find one. one will pop up

Sigh... where are all the 70's at?

I feel your pain. I've been looking for over a year and have not found one (70GTX) worth buying near the asking price. Sometimes the low production numbers really hurt the hobby.

yeah... I have found some decent numbers matching cars, and even a few non numbers matching v codes that were an "OK" price. a bit high but you know. But for what I am wanting to do I really hate to buy a numbers matching car or v code. I would rather have a non numbers matching project or roller with a good body. I'm wanting to do a more touring route not crazy, but with a newer 6.1 and 6 speed and actually drive it,, drive the snot out of it.. Like I stole it. :)

Yeah.. That is the same car someone had on here for a bit about a month ago. someone bought it and is trying to flip it. the person on here wanted 10k for it at the time. I probably should have taken more interest in it then.
