I was at Mopars in the Park (Farmington Mn) this weekend and I saw something I hadn't seen or heard of. Somebody took a 2009 Challenger and put a nose cone and wing on the car to make it into a superbird.
Unfortunately the owner wasn't around to learn more about it ,but I grabbed a pic and thought the crowd here would appreciate it. 2009 challenger superbird.jpg

He get's an A for effort, and it might well engineered and executed, but all that aside this violates some serious codes of conduct IMO. I am calling a board meeting for the purposes of discussing how to administer punishment.

I was there also and seen it.....The jury's still out with me

The least they could do is use a Charger. smh?

ummmm....NO, why call a Dodge a Plymouth just for the sake of it. If your going to do a custom like that, Make it a Daytona.

edit, just read the Petty article, looking at the back end and seeing the "DODGE" Challenger taillights and the fender decal "Plymouth", just looks Stupid!

a charger, hmmmm, i do not care for it now

how will that look like with it being a 4 door ....???

the company is called hpp out of Michigan--they can do both birds and daytonas conversions using your car or new--petty garage will take and to upgrades-brakes-exhaust-engine-suspension even wheels-u can check them out on the internet--taste is in the eye of the beholder---some look way better than others-color makes a big difference

wow they should be ashamed ....sad sd day a challenger? ......Really?

Pig and lipstick comes to mind.

I wouldn't go that far, but it is over weight.

Well to each his own I say. I got one and very glad I do. I understand its not for everyone and I don't bash what others like or have. Since I built mine it is the most looked at car I have owned love or hate they still look. People are drawn to this thing. The old old school mopar guys give me the thumbs up. The young kids think I put a big tall ricer wing on buts that's fine. I have been stopped by police in parking lots just to look it over and ask if I did it. There was a couple people that said not right for a challenger maybe to them, but not to me. If you have a challenger you have what everyone else has a challenger... maybe different color or you get the point. I drive mine. its not a $250,000 Daytona or superbird to sit and look at. Took it my first car show and was overwhelmed with talking to people and I'm not joking. Wife said that she was not crazy about it at first. After the show she told me you did good.... Oh and by the way , I have 6 grandkids of which are all car nuts. There papaw has hot rods AND he has the CARS movie Hotrod, AND That My Boys means its worth it all! I'll post a pic

Nice, and it says Dodge Daytona, not Superbird as I and others have mentioned in earlier post, which was my only gripe, the mix matching of make/model badges.

There are modern day muscle cars and the old school muscle cars. All the new ones look different form the old school so there ya go! Everyone has different likes, that's what makes the world interesting! aye? Nice Job by the way camoman22

I guess I didn't read clear enough the words....lol I am a Plymouth old school fan and did look at cloning a challenger /superbird But to me it looks to plain all one color with the Plymouth logo to help it stand out. The Daytona stripe and painted wing did it for me. Again, I didn't mean to sound so hard butt just want to fit in the group.

I like your taste with what you did with it, now if there was a plymouth donor new model, I would say go for it. I'm a bit of a Dodge guy anyway....if you want to smile every quarter mile, put a Dodge in your garage...lol
