Nice Beaver Shots !

Spent Friday at Carlisle walking around. Then on Sunday went to Beaver Springs
Dragstrip. Took over 200 pictures. So here are a few **** shots.....

Alan "Sonny" George put his 62 Chev, 409 on the trailer during eliminations due to a blown head gasket. He lives near me and runs Mandra.

Mostly cloudy that day and warm.....
In the middle 80's sometimes with a breeze. We had chairs setup at the 1/8 marker so we had a good spot. the stands were not full on Sunday. It normally is in years past.
One car in particular was my favorite. This car was called "RAT POISON". a 392 hemi
powered car. pictures will be coming up soon. this thing was so wild and loud. I wear hearing aids
and both of them shut off completely!!!! but came back on in a minute or so.
This car was for sale and I think I have a pic of it doing 8's or 9's

I always get the ugly fat guy in front of me....only one year did I get a female photographer to get in my pictures. Not bad either.
I wonder if I can get Joey to give me some letterhead so I can pass this off to get press access
(a wrist band) that would allow me to get out there with those guys.

Notice how many people in the stands. Not very full at all

You did a great job on the pics, thanks again!

The weather must have had a lot to do with the spectators showing up. That's why I decided not to show.

You could easily "photo shop" that guy out of your picture. There is the green grass you can copy and transfer over most of him, and a little bit of black top to cover his hat! There are way too many photographers in and around the cars while they're burning out, staging, and leaving. MHO!

You did a great job. I wish I spotted you in the pits. Having a GTX also I would have been all over it to pick up some tips....

I can't explain how I missed you if you were there. I walked both sides and in the back rows..
Targeting mostly mopars. Next time I will let you know I am going so I can meet up with you
