Didn't mean to leave anyone out and now curious to see where you guys/gals outside of North America would end up at.

Found this link on another site and gave it a shot, it absolutely nailed it!

Be honest with your answers and lets see how accurate it is for everyone.
I've grown up in the Kansas City area and it had me pegged for Omaha, NE, Wichita, KS & Springfield, MO all with the exception of Omaha have spent a lot of time at.

Answered all the questions and then there was an error in showing the map! Dag nabit!
I'll try another time...

Pretty accurate as I've lived in Texas for 37 years, but the quiz put me back in my hometown of Detroit.

Yup pretty accurate. It showed Detroit and Toledo on the map and I live between them.

I figured out the one question that took me from 50% of the US to one of two cities, and a suburb of another.

Gym Shoes.

Apparently no one else calls them that...anywhere.

That's pretty amazing. Lived in Maryland all my life, they had me pegged in Baltimore. My Mom's side is from North Carolina, they had me there too. Cool
My girlfriend is alway making fun of me saying "color" for "collar" and she's a seamstress!

Put me about 100 miles from where I grew up in the Midwest (61201 zip code) and I've been living in SoCal for the most part of the past 25 years.

I've traveled all over north America so mine might be skewed some,
it shows me as {Not even close/way off}
Denver, Aurora or Colorado Springs, all in the Colorado area,
I'm born & raised in Calif., Concord, Pleasant Hill, in SF East bay area,
then like 10 years in Eastern Sacramento County, Rancho Murieta area,
now I live like 10 years in the east central Calif. Sierra foothills & did during HS too but,
I have lived in a few other states for short times too, usually for work or school related...
Oregon {Eugene, school},
Kansas {Wichita},
Missouri {Springfield},
Alaska {Anchorage, Palmer, Barrow},
Idaho {Emit}
Texas {Austin}
Nevada {Reno}
a few others for really short times, like a month or 2, but you pick up on some lingo...

LMFAO! I've literally lived all over the planet and it pegged me as being from about 1 1/2 hours north of my hometown. I grew up in extreme northwestern Pennsylvania and it said i'm from Buffalo NY. Goes to show you that what you learned before you were 9 years old is with you for ever.

The gym shoes question got me too. They are SNEAKERS!

Lmao. Mine said between St. Louis and Jackson. I was born in Detroit and and (raised) is charleston, sc.
It's intersesting how you morph dialects.
Mi was born in Detroit and live there until about 12 years old and moved to South Carolina. Been there ever since. Tried hard not to have a "southern" accent. But....

I tried this just for fun since I'm Canadian. I'm either from Salt Lake City or Tacoma. But it does show close to Buffalo on all the maps. I'm about 30 miles west away from Buffalo NY in Canada.

I'm kind of like Budnicks but the test still got me close to where I grew up to 16 years old. kind of strange but all the different pronunciations/ dialects that I have been around hasn't really stuck and I enjoy speaking my natural way now instead of changing to someone elses lingo. to damn old to change and am proud of it now.

Had a crack at it myself...puts me in Yonkers :eek:

I dunno 'bout youse guys, but the word pajamas does not exist...it's spelt pyjamas

it nailed me south east texas & then south west arkansas

I did this a while back and I believe it put me from the Stockton area. And I'm from the same place as Budnicks! As in our neighborhoods are like 5 mins away but somehow never met.

Wow. Grew up in Allentown, 90 miles from NYC and 50 from Philadelphia. Been in San Jose since 91. Most think I sound like a New Yorker. The 79 5th Avenue was a New Yorker... image.jpg Yonkers!

Had me where Tollbooth Willy was ! "Welcome to Worcester, bub"

Close but I'm about 4 hours north of that. Have always lived in Maine, so far..

But close though..

With me, it showed three points on the map. Denver, Omaha, and Wichita. I'm close proximity to the middle! Pretty cool!
