This is the post I have been dreaming about making! Today we got on the phone with Russell and he remotely controlled our laptop to get this thing finally dialed in!

WOOOOO HOOOOO!!!!!

Slap shift even works and what a thrill driving it like that! Chirps in second and third in automatic mode and slap mode. All shift points are spot on! I really cannot believe it is really there.

I cannot say enough on Russell's behalf. He stood by us all the way, was ALWAYS there for us no matter when we called him, the most awesome example of commitment to customer service! He had unshakeable faith in his knowledge, understanding, and expertise of his product, an extremely rare find these days.

I am awesomely stunned.

would love all the details...like where did you get your Tarns, what is it attached to Small or Big Block and what controller are you using and so on !! thanks (Pics To )

Congratulations Darius!

Maybe it was a good day for the Mopar Gods! I got my ECU issue fixed today as well!

I am excited to see your car!

As I am to see yours.
Have an awesome trip Hawk and in the mean time drive the hell out of that thing and shake all the bugs out. Can't wait to drive mine to Reno next week.

Very good. I'll be seeing how mine works in my e-body soon. We're just doing a bunch of the final wiring, and will be soon adding fluids and giving it a shot......

Hey Darius congrats on getting the final puzzle piece in place. I just read over your entire build - again. Have you ever considered doing a book on the build? Could use a good one featuring modern components in a Mopar!

Congrats oh Rocket Scientist. Glad both you and Hawk got your systems going. Now I can study from what you've learned and a lot of us can take a lesson from that. I knew/know so little about these computerized systems for the old muscle that it kind do holds me in awe. Pls keep us in the loop on additional you learn as you go along to Reno and Hawk cross country. Thx for the postings

Just got back from a glorious 5 days of CARS at Hot August Nites. I put almost 400 miles on the car in most road conditions you might encounter.
The ride was fantastic. I drove it in slap stick mode almost the entire time. The trip up the Donner pass was in full automatic to see how that worked. It has a "searching" issue when you accelerate easily to maintain speed on an uphill run. When in slap mode it has a similar search issue when shifting from 3-4 while still in a rapid acceleration situation ( freeway onramp).
Understanding how this thing works now from the programming perspective, I think this is happening in Throttle position sensing instead of Manifold Pressure Sensing.TPS takes some small amount of time to interpret the logic of an electric signal where MAP will be more exact real time information so it will process faster......sounds good anyway:) We are going to switch to MAP and see how it responds.
Other than that is was FREAKING AWESOME!!!! Got 20mph over the mountain and about 17 in all the around town cruising we were doing.
