I just finished installing a Retrosound Redondo unit in my 70 Roadrunner's dash this past spring. Looks good and so far working great.

Toying with the idea of one of their model two units instead of hanging some aftermarket mess under the dash and hacking everything up for speakers.

Anyone have one or experience with one? What is everyone else doing for tunes in these old girls?

I may not be so fortunate as I was exploring two hot wire connections my retro requires I find continuity between GRD and the metal dashboard. What do they call this...fugitive electrical flow? I don't know if this is an open grd or a hot wire making contact it shouldn't somewhere. When I find the constant hot and those not hot on the fuse block when I turn the key to "on" the hot wires show no continuity and those I'd assume should be are not. Odd because car starts fine and electrical things like the wipers, etc. work fine. Only issue is the gas and temp gauges don't work on occasion so I have to address this. I'm thinking grd issue behind the gauges. I refurbished the block a few weeks ago when I discovered some wires making contact with each other due to burned/worn insulation. There's more to hunt down obviously. Any advice is appreciated.

Original wire to the radio is switched.
Wire to cigarette lighter is constant hot.
Ground is the dashboard.

Darthomas, thanks. If the dashboard is ground I would have thought there would be no continuity (light illuminating) to be had grounding the meter and contacting the probe to dashboard...no? My head garbled in electrical apples & oranges?
