I have a 1971 Plymouth Roadrunner and would like to increase the wheel and tire size from the stock 14" setup. I'm thinking about going to a 15" setup and would like to know the widest dimensions that will fit without any tire rub.

This is the look that I am going for:

Thanks for the help.

I had 29x15.5 at one time. Springs were moved in a couple inches and have air shocks. I think we had to keep 30-32psi in the shocks to keep from rubbing going over bumps.

Presently have 295 50 15's on 8.75 wheels. Have had H50 x 15 on 15x10 and 275 60 15 on 15x8 on the rear. The 275's will not clear the rear of the front wheel well without rubbing.
Factory option was 15x7 wheels and G70 15 tires.
235 60 15 on 15x7 wheels will work on the front.

Factory option was 15 X 7 with G60-15 Polyglas GT (parents bought a '71 RR new when I was a teen). Still left a lot of room to upgrade.

Hi Rich, did you ever figure out what rim and tire sizes you can use on your RR? I'm redoing a '71 GTX and I like the way the wheels look on your pictures!
