your looking at around 6 quarts if you drop the pan and filter change.(that was on a 904 trans)

I presume mine is a 727 as its a MT? so how many bottles in 18.5 pints

do you mean manual transmission (MT)??? 727 is an automatic.
If yours is a 4 speed manual A-833 the gear oil capacity is 8 1/2 pints , 4 1/4 quarts, about 4 liters.

The 4-speed manual transmission is a "A-833" and yes, back in 1967 they used gear oil (like you put in the rear differential)
