six pack?

The 'ole CH4B shown......

FWIW, It's the crossover that is cracked on both sides and in the center. No intake runner is breached or modified. Immaterial who welded, how welded, when welded, etc.
Point here is Eddie is not infallible or this intake would never have seen a repair attempt.

A six barrel setup is awesome. Yes, sometimes it can be a headache. But its not as difficult to understand as some may think. A little time reading and some understanding and they are not all that complex.
I love mine now that I've got it straightened out. Even when I was struggling getting it tuned, the thought of going to a 4 bbl never crossed my mind.
And when you tune it yourself, there is no greater feeling than mashing the throttle and feeling the outboards kicking in knowing YOU were the one to get it tuned when everyone else kept telling you to switch to a 4 bbl.

I switched to this 4bbl....was like I dropped a new motor in it.........my 413,

Six Paks are really neat & fun once you figure them out. I only had mine on a drag car so much different than any street application. "In the day" they got way too much bad rep because folks didn't understand them at all. Most all of the street drivability issues were the simple fix of unplugging the end carb idle screws & giving them 1/4 more turn. And not screwing up the vacumn secondaries which worked fine for the most part. Overall jets were pretty darn close. My experience had a set of '70 carbs that worked better than the '69 or '71 sets. No explanation for that. If you spend some time understanding them they sure will work on the street.

+1 on the posts but I was just thinking of a 'new guy' . Having to start from scratch he could almost buy 2 intakes&carbs for less money.
