Going to replace my spark plugs. Does not mean much to be to be "original"...just want to get the best spark plugs to use now days. Technology has changed in the last few years. So what would be the best set of plugs to use?

thanks

there aren't any technology advances for a 14mm/3/8" reach/projected tip spark plug. the autolite 85 is simple, easy to get and works.

Autolite plugs are good, reasonably priced and available just about at all major suto parts stores. I Suggest the Autolite AP85. They are 3/8" reach, medium heat range, AND Platinum tip center electrode. I have used them in my RS23V0A******* 1970 GTX 6 barrel car (with 11.0 TRW pistons). For a stock engine, they will provide good service and due to the platinum tip last fairly long time and offer good fouling protection. I gap mine at 0.035" AND grind the ground electrode in a "V" configuration over the center electrode to expose more spark energy to the fuel charge. The plugs also have a copper alloy center electrode (in addition to the platinum tip) for a broad heat range.
I'm sure others will have different opinions, especially tge NGK boys. I have also used Champion J-11Y (available on the internet) or Mopar P34P plugs. The Autolite plugs can be purchased for $2.00 - 3.00 range....
