Leaving my car in the garage for 4 months, which would be better of those two?

Sta-bil should be fine. I use the marine stuff and so far, so good even for a year but I do double dose it....

Do you have race gas on hand? That will/should work fine for that amount of time too.....either case, fill the tank up.

I'd do Sta-bill also
it's cheap insurance

the Sta-Bill 360 has a formula for vapor protection
so you don't have to fill the tank
but it's still a good idea, less chance of problems

fyi- Stabil has a slightly incompatible oil that floats to the top of the gas tank when the car sits. It sort of blocks the faster evaporating part of your gasoline (which is what helps it start easier) from evaporating. It's sort of the same idea as floating thousands of plastic ping-pong balls on top of water reservoirs in the desert....slows evaporation. It's an interesting product.

There is also a product called Startron that works exceptionally well. I have it in a boat for 3 years now and the gas is still fresh and viable with no signs of varnish or issues in any of the 4 carbs each season. I swear by the stuff. It gets great reviews on Amazon as well.
