Has any one had experience of installing legendary seat covers on a 1966 charger? I'm having trouble with the rear seat, backs. They squish the springs so tight I can't get the hardware on the sides of the seat. My original covers measured 6-1/2" from the piping to the back seam, The ones I've got measure 5" from the piping to the back seam. Thank you, Terry

I'd call Legendary and ask them why the difference, they may have screwed up. I know they borked up the covers on my 66-300, the seams were so crooked that they must've been drunk when they sewed them. They sent me a new set. Are you doing this outside in the sun where they're nice and pliable? Good Luck
BTW, I've done 2 66-300's and a 66 Satellite with them, it's good stuff outside of the one 300 covers.

I've been trying to get information from them for two days now, And they haven't called back yet. I'm afraid they might have sent the wrong backs, Also the right and left covers are both the same part number, I would think that they would be different.

Keep at it, take pics of both old & new, attatch & send E-mails and complain. Call with the same, demand answers. Good Luck

They screw up . Easy as that I'd call and complain they will send you another set probably after pics of what you have . I've not done 66 charger seats but I Know of two cars that have the uphostery in them from legendary. Not sure if I'm about to pull the seat out of the alhstimer giveaway car (hemi car) but a guy in the club just finished his 66 I'll ask him .
Maybe @dieseldazzle could help last I spoke with him he had a few of those charger s kicking around

They are little to no help on the phone. I have had a friend waiting for over a year for his covers. And after the awful covers I got for my 73 Charger, I don't think I will ever use them again.
I know this won't help you now since you've already purchased, but I found another place that does covers. PUI Interiors.

Looks as if you may have to order through a dealer, Summit or Herbs.

I hate to hear that the quality or service has changed ?
I have only good things to say about Legendary. Used them once 8-9 years ago for my 67.
Stupid me I figured they would have a set of black covers on the shelf for my car ready to ship.
Of course they did not and told me a couple weeks at least, I told them I had signed up for a week long cruise and at that point I was 10 days away from it.
Long story short I had my covers in 5 days on FedEx , fit like a glove and still look great.

Yes, when I did my 67 similar story. That was in 2004.
I ordered my 73 seat covers in 2011, took better than 6 weeks.
When I got them, they didn't fit right. So now in addition to the cost of the covers I had to have an upholstery guy install them. He said they didn't fit correctly and he had to do some alterations to get them right, more cost. Legendary said I needed new foam. Even though the upholsterer said the foams looked brand new so I asked how much. The answer, oh we don't make those.
In addition 2 buttons came off when he was installing them. I complained about those and their solution, was to send me another bag of crappy buttons which have since come off.
I have gone to their show several times and attempted to address the button issue, they won't even talk about it. They shrug their shoulders and no comment.

I experienced this too. The piping is thicker on the Legendary covers. It prevents the stainless trim from seating properly. You have to cut the piping down to allow the stainless to sit flush.
