I won't set the world on fire, post wise, but thought I'd check this place out. I'm a lifelong Mopar fan, especially the B bodies. My first car was a 70 Super Bee, bought from behind a barn for $150 in the early 80's, back before I even had my license.
I then picked up a rusty 68 Coronet R/T convertible a few years later, followed by a 69 GTX that I traded a buddy a motorcycle for. Never thought to take a photo of the three together, or many photos of them at all, in hindsight.
Like so many others, a wife came, the cars left, and eventually she was gone, too. My dad got me hooked on Mopar muscle, and I still have the Daytona he and mom bought new. It's been missing the nose for most of its life and needs a total restoration, but I'm finally to a stage where I've started accumulating the front end parts for it. It's currently wearing a 70 front end, but that will be coming off soon.
I'll likely be found primarily in the wing car section, or looking for parts for the Daytona. Hopefully the two 70 charger front ends I'll be selling will help to fund some of the parts I still need, while helping others get their own cars together. I still am puzzled on where I obtained the second one, but I guess it's not a bad thing to have done so.

this photo would be late winter 69/spring 1970, and sadly is the best one I've found that shows the Daytona. It's a 440 auto, blue on blue, with white stripe car.

the 68 R/T , 440 auto, was traded in on the Daytona, in September 1969.

the 67 R/T, also a 440 auto car, was bought new while Dad was still in the Army. It was wrecked on April 1st, when the u-haul trailer Mom was pulling came loose and lead to the car flipping. Dad was shipping overseas at the time, and thought everyone was trying to April fools' prank him, when they kept telling him that the Red Cross was trying to reach him.

All three cars came from Fathing Sales, in Rushville, Indiana

Welcome from Michigan. It's awesome that you have a bird in the family from day one. Now....about that car, if you don't want to go thru all of that agony and frustration on restoring that Daytona, I would love to take it off your hands for a nominal price of course......... Seriously, make sure to send pics when you restore that beauty.

i don't have the budget to put original parts back on it, nor the desire to over restore it. i'm good with hanging this repro steel nose on it, tackling the rust, and getting the engine back together. my goal is to have it running by this time next year, to take it to the talladega meet.

this is the bulk of what i've gathered so far. still needing the headlight assemblies, lower valance, latch tray, fender scoops, and a million other little things. i also need to rebuild the 440, as it's sat for over thirty years.

i've posted one of the 70 front ends here in the classifieds. i'm hoping that the two of those together will cover the repro headlights i need. crazy to think of the aero parts cost, when this entire car was $4300 and even came with a warranty

Welcome from Ohio. Don’t be shy about posting.

it's a lot rougher than it appears, but it'll get there someday. here's another photo from the mid 80's, along with two of how it looks now. i'm thinking to keep the interior like this for a while, especially since i have no idea where the blue door panels are stashed, anyway. the seats were done by a friend of my dad.
the same friend of his also did the interior in the bee. i traded my honda express moped even for the interior work, as dad's buddy "wanted one for his daughter". no doubt he did that as a favor to dad/me. the car was originally a white bench; these seats and console came from the same 70 charger 500 whose doghouse is now on the daytona
