Saw something over 20 years a go that I can't explain. I've never seen anything that can take a sharp turn in the sky like I saw that night, then launch faster and disappear like that before or since.

I have also seen craft, at night, that did the whole 90* angle stop and launch at incredible speeds while stargazing in AZ. I firmly believe that we are NOT alone in the Universe. I also believe that "They" will not allow a face to face to happen until such time as we prove that we can be trusted with such knowledge, and be advanced enough as a global society to take a place in any galactic organization. As it stands right now we are nearing the cross roads with AI, with space flight, with technology, with accepting the facts of our own world history going back into deep antiquity, with our relations between each other though...not so much. If in fact, we live on a planet that catastrophically "cleanses" itself to varying degrees every 12,000 years or so then a new cycle is due any time now. As an extraterrestrial I would be loath to intervene in any species that cant figure out a way to survive that, and to leap forward into the next cycle with intact technology and species. If we can manage that then we would have another 12,000 years to advance enough to be contacted. If you believe that there were prior civilizations that had advanced through at least one full planetary progression sequence, 26, 620 years, then they must have been advanced enough to have been contacted. That would explain the sightings of UFO's in our times, as they would be checking in occasionally to monitor our progress..as we progress through this cycle, the 10th as far as we currently know...

I wonder if they have video of our shenanigans as a species that they play for the entertainment of the masses...

That is an interesting question! Their technology is so far ahead of ours it is like lining up a top fuel funny car next to a kids pedal car.

The something I saw happened in 68 while star gazing. What looked like just another tiny dot in the night sky, one started moving but not fast. If holding up a ruler at arms length, it traveled about an inch in about 5 seconds then stopped, made a 90 degree turn and traveled another inch and stopped and that was it. I'm not one to gaze at the sky much but that night I just kicked back after coming home from a date and looked up. Back then there wasn't much light pollution around here and the stars were plentiful to look at and yeah, the universe is so big that there just has to be something else out there besides us!

Back then I was a clean kid....didn't drink, smoke or take drugs and have never ever bagged! Never claimed to be real smart but was never dumb enough to stoooopid sheet to myself except for flipping and rolling go-carts and marrying the wrong women! :D

I remember one night, just getting home from a date, pulled into the driveway and was just sitting there. I was staring at a real bright star and all of a sudden it took off and disappeared. That will make you think about things for sure.

Ex wifes, live and learn!

The incidents of pilots seeing strange craft, strange acting craft, and outright alien craft are too numerous to dismiss. While in the sandbox there were many sightings by various crews that got talked about and passed around.

It would be very arrogant of us to think that there is not a possibility of other life out there.

Billions upon billions of stars in our galaxy alone, each with planets around them. Let alone the rest of the Universe.....

And this today in the news.....

How angry pilots got the Navy to stop dismissing UFO sightings

A recent uptick in sightings of unidentified flying objects — or as the military calls them, “unexplained aerial phenomena” — prompted the Navy to draft formal procedures for pilots to document encounters, a corrective measure that former officials say is long overdue.

“Since 2014, these intrusions have been happening on a regular basis,” Joseph Gradisher, spokesman for office of the deputy chief of naval operations for information warfare, told The Washington Post on Wednesday. Recently, unidentified aircraft have entered military-designated airspace as often as multiple times per month. “We want to get to the bottom of this. We need to determine who’s doing it, where it’s coming from and what their intent is. We need to try to find ways to prevent it from happening again.”

Citing safety and security concerns, Gradisher vowed to “investigate each and every report".
Luis Elizondo, a former senior intelligence officer, told The Post that the new Navy guidelines formalized the reporting process, facilitating data-driven analysis while removing the stigma from talking about UFOs, calling it “the single greatest decision the Navy has made in decades.”

Chris Mellon, a former deputy assistant secretary of defense for intelligence and staffer on the Senate Intelligence Committee, was less laudatory.

“I don’t believe in safety through ignorance,” he said, scolding the intelligence community for a lack of “curiosity and courage” and a “failure to react” to a strong pattern of sightings.

In some cases, pilots — many of whom are engineers and academy graduates — claimed to observe small spherical objects flying in formation. Others say they’ve seen white, Tic Tac-shaped vehicles. Aside from drones, all engines rely on burning fuel to generate power, but these vehicles all had no air intake, no wind and no exhaust.

“It’s very mysterious, and they still seem to exceed our aircraft in speed,” he said, calling it a “truly radical technology.”

According to Mellon, awestruck and baffled pilots, concerned that reporting unidentified flying aircraft would adversely affect their careers, tended not to speak up. And when they did, he said, there was little interest in investigating their claims.

“Imagine you see highly advanced vehicles, they appear on radar systems, they look bizarre, no one knows where they’re from. This happens on a recurring basis, and no one does anything,” said Mellon, who now works with UFOData, a private organization. Because agencies do not share this type of information, it is difficult to know the full extent of activity. Still, he estimated that dozens of incidents were witnessed by naval officers in a single year, enough to force the service to address the issue.

“Pilots are upset, and they’re trying to help wake up a slumbering system,” he told The Post.

Lawmakers’ growing curiosity and concern also appeared to coax action out of the Navy.

In 2017, the Pentagon first confirmed the existence of the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), a government operation launched in 2007 to collect and analyze “anomalous aerospace threats.” As The Post’s Joby Warrick reported, the investigation ranged from “advanced aircraft fielded by traditional U.S. adversaries to commercial drones to possible alien encounters.”

According to former Pentagon officials and documents previously seen by The Post, program funding, which totaled at least $22 million, was suspended in 2012.

Gradisher said in a statement that “in response to requests for information from congressional members and staff, officials have provided a series of briefings by senior Naval Intelligence officials as well as aviators who reported hazards to aviation safety."

Elizondo, who ran the AATIP, said the newly drafted guidelines were a culmination of many things, most notably that the Navy had enough credible evidence — including eyewitness accounts and corroborating radar information — to “know this is occurring.”

“If I came to you and said, ‘There are these things that can fly over our country with impunity, defying the laws of physics, and within moments could deploy a nuclear device at will,’ that would be a matter of national security,” Elizondo said.

With the number of U.S. military personnel in the Air Force and Navy who described the same observations, the noise level could not be ignored.

“This type of activity is very alarming,” Elizondo said, “and people are recognizing there are things in our aerospace that lie beyond our understanding.”

What Budnicks said!!!

had to lighten the mood up a bit...

with all the planets stars & galaxies out there

something/someone has to be out there
we can't be the only living beings in the whole solar system or universes

millions of reports over the years, can't all be BS
some can be explained, some won't or can't

whether they are little green men or giants or gelatinous blobs
we don't know, somebody may, but they aren't telling us

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Me & my younger bros. were traveling between Antioch & Pittsburg
we saw, what seemed to be a slow moving 'saucer shaped aircraft'
with several different colored lights flashing & blinking

we even heard sittings of it on the radio station we were listening to
so we thought we were onto something really epic...

we followed it for miles upon miles, trying to catch up
it seemed to just hoover at times too, go figure
we thought oh my god !!
is this really happening ?

all it was,
was our imaginations/curiosity, optical allusions,
twilight conditions, maybe even emotions, getting the better of US
stoked by the reports on the radio too,
confirming "allegedly", what we thought we saw

BUT; (there's almost always a BUT)
When we finally got close enough to actually see it....
All it was just a silver-ish colored bi-plane, with flashing lights on it's wings
& pulling a banner, with lights on the banner too....
IIRC, it was for some sale, at some stereo store...

we had a really good laugh after that one...

we swore we saw a flying saucer & it defied gravity
& even stopped in the sky, so we thought :poke:

before we actually, saw it "da' plane boss, da' plane" 1st hand,
we'd have sworn on a stack of bibles, on our lives, it was true/real,
that it was a flying saucer.... yeah right

-------------------------------------------------------------------

now IF they are an advanced race & can defy gravity
& laws of known physics

that's to be seen

IF our govt. did know, they would NOT tell US
we are all like mushrooms kept in the dark & fed ****

there would be pandemonium, many people would lose it
