Cowboy boots

Some of your boot closets look like an old ladies. You know you only need two pair. One for work and one for good. Its no wonder some have 15 year old boots with a pair for each day of the week.

Double H square toe, very comfortable boot in the stables.

And I just picked these Noconas up to try out in the saddle. Very comfy so far.

The pointed toes slip into the stirrups easy.
I kinda remember that also the pointed toe was better ifin you fall off yoe hoss (only if he got spooked of course by some creature) that it would slip out of the stirrup easier and you wouldn't get drug up the trail.
My boots look a little grungy. Two sets of spurs, I like change once in a while. And I don't want to hear about the buckles being on the inside, thank you.

Have you ever been by a ranch where fence post after fence post is topped with an old cowboy boot? It might be a southwest thing. That reminds me. Out here to make it rain, you're supposed to kill a snake and drape it over a fence.

Well, that makes sense. How are you going to cross your leg to fiddle with the buckle on the outside? Down in Oklahoma, the Cowboys wear their pant legs on the inside of the boot toward the horse and on the outside of the boot on the outside. If not that they wear their jeans two sizes too long and bunch them up at the bottom and real high at the waist. It's funny to see teens wearing letterman jackets for rodeo sports.

I happen to wear the same pair everyday. One for work doesn’t always work. When it’s coming a flood and they’re covered in cow crap soaking wet, you got to have something to go back out in if the need arises. My wife might be mad, but I’m not afraid to go out and work in any of the boots I own. As far as having some that are 15 years old, these aren’t Nikes or some other shoe you throw away after six months. Boots can last a lifetime if you take care of them. If my son’s foot gets big enough he’ll get my old boots all cleaned up just like I got my dad’s.

Non last forever. They all wear out eventually and I have never had a cheap pair. They just do not make them in my size in a cheap boot and I have had them in the 3 and 4 hundred dollar range even over 20 years ago.
The wife hates it when I do go boot shopping as she knows what I am willing to spend on a good pair. I keep telling her I spend no more than she does buying cheap shoes when average over their life time.
My last pair are Justin's after wearing Olathe Boot Co.s for years (claimed to be the original western boot maker). But when your boot maker closes their doors what you do?

Not much you can do..... there is an elderly fella that lives not far from us and he does all my leather repairs. He also replaces heels on my stuff. He’s getting slower and slower and I know at some time, he’ll shut his doors. Then I’ll probably wear them out and throw them out, bad as I hate the thought..I know the feeling on size, 15 is hard to find too...

Them's dam near clown shoes. But yes you understand the pain.

I have had lots of boots over the years. I used to wear Tonys mostly. I had a pair of Texas brand that I loved and wore them till I walked out of them there was nothing left to put the new soles on. I want a pointed toe and a riding heal. I just ordered a pair of Bollet.
I have I pair of Twisted X that I like pretty well

Used to wear them when I lived in TX and AZ. No recall about what brand but always pointed toe. In TX I rode horse every day, all day.

So I wear mine daily. Sadly after four years my Justin Scottsbluff have to go to the cobbler. My old work boots are worse and no way I'm wearing Cayman bellies to work and in the salt. So I got the these, only 95$. A bit tight, guess Justin USA is different from Justin overseas. Couple pair of socks and plastic bags will stretch em.

Huh, I just bought a pair similar to these. Shorter and in brown (the only color available). They're made by Skechers. Pretty comfortable but a PITA to put on since there is no side zipper. I think I'm going to dye them black.
