Thanks for trying, I know they are a needle in the haystack. When ordering a car with a tachometer in 66-67, the 6K was the first one on the option list. It just so happened that my salesman asked which one when and I asked about the difference. It was the the same price for a 6K or 8K.
They are A body and 6K. The base on the A body is different. Thanks for looking out for me.
If you are satisfied with a 6K, they are not that hard to find.
In 67 when I ordered my 67 Satellite the salesman went down the list of options. He asked tachometer and I said yes. He then asked which one 6K or 8K and I asked what is the difference. He said no difference, same price. So I said 8K. So with that said, it was just checking the right box on the order form.
I posted one in this thread, everything is identical except the movement and the 8K face.
