On hellcat.org, it was pointed out that the wheel locks are not the correct application. Looks like a vice grip could easily remove the lugnut. I didn’t ask for them, or the paint chip and missing valve stem cap. I’m posting this to rant, and FYI for anyone taking delivery from one of our many crappy CDJR Dealers. Autonation, Roseville, California.

This is why the nuts among us with large wallets order cars, pay sticker, and demand to be there when the truck arrives. Tell the dealer to NOT TOUCH A THING. No prep, no wash, no install of complimentary wheel locks etc. I consider myself lucky that more damage didn’t happen in the 2 months it was on the lot. Dealer parking is a cluster too.

I usually have all badging removed, including the name of the dealer before I pick up a new car. I never let a dealer tell me to take it home and we'll look or fix it later. It's new there shouldn't be a problem to fix LATER. later means a charge back to Chrysler for a warranty fix . Things happen on the lot at the dealership the factory ends up paying for. At the end of the day, new is just that, NEW.

Yeah the lug locks suck ! Most dealers suck too !
For the money we pay for a car they should be perfect when you get them , it just does not happen.
Where I bought my JGC Overland used. the deal was to fix a plastic panel by the tow hitch, appointment made at purchase.
So when I take it in the service manager has a attitude saying no one told him and he don`t know if he has part.

Never went back there again!

Found halfway descent one for a recall I had to have done, night and day with the service!

Dennis
So you sold the Challenger and bought a Trackhawk? Am I correct?

Sorry Dennis
For some reason I thought you had a Trackhawk.
Very nice!
I am sure you love it as it is a fantastic car.

I believe that outer ring on the lock will turn and not allow the nut to turn. Same ones we got on our Rubicon last year.
