What was the problem with it?
Is there a transferrable warranty on it?
Thanks,
Bruce

I'd text or email Jamie Passon for documentation of his reply, but I would think he may be ok with that.reaching out to passon, I imagine so.

Good luck, I love my Passon 5 speed!
I have had mine installed for at least 3 years. It's in my warmed over 70 V-code Roadrunner. I did some of my break in miles in October just before and during the week of Cruisin the Coast, which provided a lot of stop and go action, cruising around 35-45 mph, and on the highway at 70-75. Once I reached about 450 miles, I let 'er rip. I've beat on it at the track, and I also switched out my 3.54 gears in the Dana 60 to 4.10 gears, and dropped 750 RPMs in 5th with the 4.10 to 2,750 at about 73 MPH. The 3.54s and 833 4 speed had me at 3,500.How long have you had your Passon. I love this idea but I've heard about supply problems. Wondering if there is an issue with the trans how long it will take to get fixed. Also wondering about the durability. Do you have a bunch of miles on yours?

Sorry Papa, I was actually asking Biomedtechguy. He said he has one too.I have zero miles and it is uninstalled as previously stated
Thanks, This is good info. I just wan't more than a 4 spd. And if I don't have to cut the car, even better. I have a couple cars I could put this in. Here's another question and I can do a search on this too. You mention that it's for a 70 B-body. I'm assuming it would be no problem putting this in a 69 B-body or even an E-body. Would it be a big deal to put it in a 68 A-body? I really didn't know there were specifi years of the 833 aside from the date code.I have had mine installed for at least 3 years. I don't have to think about gearshift placement in the 1320, it shifts very fast and well, and smoothly. I have been power shifting for a couple of years when I take it to the track, but I do use the clutch, I just don't lift off the gas.
One of the reasons why I got the 855 Passon is its solid rating for 700 continuous ft lbs of torque, as I am going through the slow process of building a 540 stroker that will be right at that number I'm pretty sure.
I kept the 833 18 spline transmission as backup, and because I had Passon make some mods to it and replace ANY worn parts, so the 833 is top notch. Now 4.10s and the 833 would be pretty miserable, but I kept my 3.54s, so depending on turn around time I may or may not use the 833 to get by should I need major service on the 855 that would take too long.Sorry Papa, I was actually asking Biomedtechguy. 70 B body 855 won't have the same setup as an A or E body. Thanks, This is good info. I just wan't more than a 4 spd. And if I don't have to cut the car, even better. Ok, Yeah, I'll have to do a search on it to check the differences.70 B body 855 won't have the same setup as an A or E body.
69 B body, no problem, drop in.
