It was a good day. Had my favorite foods, didn't have to make any meals or clean anything...lol. Heard from lots of friends and family. Discovered a laying hen, that we thought was dead, trapped in the barn amongst some trash in a corner. Poor thing has been gone for seven days! She was staggering around but went to town eating a handful of cracked corn. She's looking like she's going to make it too, still eating and drinking hours later. She's lost some weight but by god she's a fighter. My wife's favorite hen, so I'm glad I found her and she's still alive. It's a Thanksgiving Miracle. No idea how she didn't die after seven days without food and water. Crazy.
