Depressing movies that you only watched once....

The Searchers John Wayne
Night of the Living Dead. it was a midnight movie for Stoners a real downer.
 
not a big movie guy, I lack the attention span; but...... the wife insisted I watch Gone with the Wind...... on a depressing scale of 1-10, it's about 1,000,000,000

Ahh yeah The night of the living dead. I remember going to a drive in with my girlfriend to see that movie. She was so freaked out about that movie, she laid down in the front seat with her head in my lap and fingers in her ears, singing old McDonald. And, there was no happy ending. Very depressing.

Bullitt;.... they smashed the 4-speed Charger R/T into a gas station and it blew/burned up. I still cry.
I hope I didn't spoil the ending for anybody.
 
Braveheart is probably the one I remember the most

USS Indianapolis The true story with Nicolas Cage about the ship that was sunk after delivering the atomic bomb. Most of the surviving we eaten by sharks.
If you don't see the movie read the book, it's even better and more factual.
 
Saving Private Ryan,, my father was with the 29th Infantry at Omaha Beach. Month later, he was at The Battle of St Lo, which was the town where the bridge scene was, at the end of the movie. A few things became clearer after finding this out.
 
War horse is another good one.
