A friend bought his 2nd 70 Roadrunner a couple of years ago. It's a factory 383 4 speed car, but it has a 440 6bbl in it.
Looks like the one in the pic...
If it was mine (I told him) I'd do whatever I could to "freeze" the patina and look of the car, build out the motor in a manner to bring big power but make it "stealthy" big power, like adding nitrous, stuff the stickiest, widest tires in the rear I could, and find as many races as I could for MONEY....
I just think it would make a killer money making sleeper!!

I love this car
It could be yours.....
It's actually more like what I said "I'd do with it" than I could have possibly known from that one picture, but it turns out to be available. The body rust is worse than that pic shows, but the frame and key components are intact. It has what appears to be the original fender tag, and that indicates it is a V-Code GTX...

My Roached Runner. Factory TX9 black post car. New engine is going in soon and will be back on the road as is.

I like it to but not at there price its on ebay
Yeah, $38k and it doesn't just have rust holes in the sheet metal, it has rust tunnels!! I know that can all be made better (thanks AMD) but you have to start with a price that makes sense.
OTOH, if you want THAT car, and you don't want to play the odds or wait, and have the money... go for it. "Tomorrow" may never come!

I equate that car pretty closely to my car, which has rust on the drivers lower extension, over the wheel well, and almost in to the rocker, and a hole in front of the wheel well on the passenger side. My trunk pan is also somewhat rusty, but my overall paint is much better than his. Mine is also a 4 speed, and has the original driveline. I have a plain hood, he has the air grabber. I self-estimate my car at around $50k, I don’t think it’s much more, and certainly could be less. I don’t care tho, it’s not for sale and probably will never be. It’s nice to see a car close to apples just to sort of check against.

I bought my RR in April, 2014.
The dealer was asking $59k for my V-Code, 71 block, 6bbl rods and crank, 452 heads, 18 spline, Dana 60 equipped car and I bought it for less than $50k
Here's some pix w/in a month of buying it, and I have never done anything to the paint (other than have the N96 AMD hood matched) and one recent pic.
