Dodges newest Electrifying Car.

You do know electric cars are automobiles? Soylent Green? You are basing your argument on an old Sci fi movie? Instead? At least use Star Trek as an example? Societal efforts to better ourselves. By fact based evidence in pursuit of truth.

I'm not predicting what the future setting may look? But one picture certainly looks far more appealing? The world of Soylent Green was because of over consumption of natural resources causing environmental collapse.
Sure sounds like what you see the future as. But you may want to look into were the experts in the fields see automotive technology. Sure isn't in lithium batteries and environmentaly unsound practices. Yes go dig your dirty presious metal holes some where else. If you want to save the planet start looking at the whole picture for a change.

You are stuck in "Lithium" That's the best today. Research some of the other battery technologies? Once ecologically viable? Lithium is history. Some have spooky potential. Charge in minutes. 1000+ mi ranges.

Internal combustion has been deemed obsolete for decades. By your experts.. Hell, it barely won the technology's fight 100+ years ago. Imagine where electric would be if that fight was won? Lithium would have come and gone in the 50s. I believe hybrid will be the mainstay answer for at least the rest of my days. Look at trains? They have been diesel/electric for decades. If they attempted diesel only? Bankrupt. For cars? The most promising is hydrogen fuel cell. At least for the short/mid term.

How many more discussion's do we need on this idiotic subject? The only reasons now for EV's are government mandates and money. Otherwise yes we would have had them years ago.

Stop. You know damn well the fossil fuel industry was lobbied and taken tax dollars for decades to suppress EV technologies and squash any momentum. It's not even close. And ecologically we are now far behind.

Yes this makes me sad. I lived with the love of the whole muscle car era. But that era is gone. Fonzi is not going to ride up on his bike with an "Aye" And all will magically revert back to 1962. So I'm going to enjoy the innocents for as long as we can. But I'm also not going to make crap up on why the green energy wave is actually a Satan driven conspiracy? It is both the economical and ecological revolution of the future.

It's not our time. It's our kids time.

Batteries don’t like heat. OMG. But,it will go down to 80 overnight.

Ouch. That is hot. 121f is the highest temp I have ever experienced. Hidden Valley, NV. It was stupid hot. Even as dry heat. The worse? Is of you actually accidentally touch something? You get burned. Crazy. I experienced -50f. Same thing. Crazy. And you can get burned. Especially touching steel.

tesla has a cooling and warming system for the batteries, was watching some show where they were doing a tesla swap and peeling back the car and showing all the crazy stuff that goes into the technology of making those work, alot of stuff

Fast (or more accurately quick).....but the lack of noise made it souless ......like a domestic transport appliance rather than a car.

i agree but most things in todays world are souless, A.I. will be leading the way on that

Soulless? Lol. That's what they said about cars when first introduced over 100 years ago. But I do agree there is a missing "Cool" factor. The only thing cool with EV is the technology. The finished product is even less "Life like."

This is going to be a tough sell. Even if all data shows a better more efficient platform. With less maintenance requirements. Americans seem to have more personal connections with our cars. And things get dicey anytime subject matter turns personal.
