Hello,

My 1967 Charger had rear coil springs when I got it a few years ago. I just assumed that was correct, but I happened to be looking at Chargers and Coronets on the internet, and they don’t seem to have coil springs!
Was this a factory option, or just something added by a previous owner?

Thanks,
Kevin

No.....that was the handiwork of someone that was looking to go the cheap route to compensate for weak leaf springs.

Agreed. I was hoping for a pic of the old coil-over shocks, which my old Fury wagon had on it. Call ESPO and get some new leafs and cut the welds off that abomination. Or not. Maybe it rides fine.

It sags pretty low in the rear, would definitely look better with new leaves

Over the years, people have done all sorts of things to these cars BEFORE they became valuable classics.

Those springs are just lipstick on a pig. A new pair of springs will fix you up. Did the car have a trailer hitch on it? Was it an old Moonshine hauler?:poke::poke: Contact Espo Springs and Things for a new set.

JC Whitney. Mail order catalog.
Ha.
Brings back memories.
It looks like they're back...more of a Jeep catalog now.

Can't really blame the seller. The buyer is the problem as they are usually uninformed and buy things anyway.

Question is, what kind of rear end is in there?
Modified mopar or something else?
