I have cut down 4 original K member mounting bolts for my drag car.
Prior to installing them I got a deal on 4 Titanium bolts!
These were cut down to fully engage the threads in the frame rail and no more.
The price is $15.00 plus shipping.

How much weight did you save by going to titanium k-frame bolts? Just curious?

It was close to a pound off the front end of the car.
I have attached a picture of the Titanium bolt and lock washer on my postal scale.

Thanks! Very cool! Kind of like building a experimental aircraft. Save a few ounces here and there, which adds up to pounds saved when completed.

The seller has another set of 4 on there now!
He also has the washers but those are a pack of 10.
Now I need some one to buy the originals I cut down!

look up 5/8-11 titanium bolt
He also has titanium 3/4 lock washers!
You just need to fabricate a small sleeve to look like the originals!

I went the Titanium route quite a few years back as well. It saved a pound or so as you indicated. Bolts and washers are fat and bulky for a reason of course. The shaving of the originals is pretty cool.
