Day 2 of the contest, and surprisingly I still have only seen the artist named once in this entire thread.
Here's another hint...
Hint #1 (given in post #35) - This artist HAS NOT been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Hint #2 (given in post #78) - All guesses thru post #1 thru #77 HAVE NOT named the correct artist yet.
Hint #3 (given in post #115) - Not only did this artist not get inducted into the Hall of Fame, but the song in question didn't even hit the top 100 chart in the US back in it's day.(But I say it should have)
Hint #4 (given in post #167) - The year the song was released is 1972.
Hint #5 (given in post #239) - The artist was mentioned once so far in this contest.
Hint #6 - The name of the artist begins with a letter that is within the last (8) letters of the alphabet.
