It’s a Chevy. Don’t know this guy. If shopping Volo, this could be useful. He admits not doing an in person inspection. First mistake.

66 SS.......one of my bucket list cars, only 4 speed, but not in red! ........flame away

This one was also offered by Volo for $89K, at the time that Chevelle was sold. I owned it for five years prior, and sure didn't get that kind of cash when I sold it. Nice car, but nowhere near the level of the one that replaced it. I offered to discuss the flaws with any FBBO members who were considering it, got no takers.

Mine looked great on a lift. The big problem was the fish eyes in half the exterior paint because of poor surface prep. No one inspecting it in person would ever have paid the asking price after seeing that paint up close. To Volo's credit, they did note the paint flaws in their description, but their professional photos completely hid the issue. Which is why you need to inspect in person.

As vintage cars go, the amount of issues on that one is probably average. All in all doesn’t look like a bad car. Almost any 50-70 year old car purchase will have some things to sort out, but that is why when buying you inspect the car and negotiate in person so you get the price down for issues, or the seller agrees to fix.
Volo is in my area and I’ve been there a number of times. A lot of people I know have consigned cars with them and been pleased with the experience. I haven’t known any buyers there though, at least none I knew well enough to discuss their buying experiences with. Their prices are real high, but brokers always are. One gripe I’ve heard from people who’ve gone there to look at cars to buy is the Volo museum charged them admission. You gotta pay $30 to see a car you’re considering buying. Seriously? The place is a nicely organized and good sized museum, and if you’re in the area well worth a visit to check out, but if you travel there with a prearranged appointment to see a car for sale, charging them admission is ridiculous!

Kinda ballsy on Volo's part for not at least offering some kind of concessions, knowing full well that once a post like this is made on the internet it is there forever. I think the mullet guy was far more forgiving than I would have been, but I would have never bought a car sight unseen. He paid second gen Charger money for a Chevy imo.

Yeah. I saw that. And commented that he paid too much. Probably $35,000 too much.

Powerglide for $95k? And the paint is junk? I sure wouldn't be admitting on the internet that I had paid that much for that car.

well , i've got a 65 casting 396 in my shop . chrome covers q-jet motor complete , so it could have started life in one of those bodies , we got it in a 2 ton chevy c60 truck , my pop bought it at an action , drove it a few hundred mikes to the shop . it used 14 quarts of oil from where he bought it to the shop . he claimed it had lots of power , but it smoked , lol . we put a 402 in that truck and he sold it . but i've still got that 396 on a shelve , in the shop .

Before I bought the Sleeper Bee 4 years ago I looked at a car Volo had online but then I did some research about them on the internet and it was not good at all.
Many pissed off customers. But to spend that kind of $ and not go look at it yourself is insanity.
John Dega in the op's video above also runs a classic car restoration business so he of all people should know better.

IIRC, I was browsing a 69 Coronet R/T Ragtop on Guardian @ $135k. Ready to reach for my wallet and ready to pay full freight if it was ANYWHERE NEAR what it appeared to be. At a premium, you don’t expect to find the things that Mullet found. Good I have no storage. Shame on Volo.

Rule #1: Never buy ANYTHING sight unseen!
Rule #2: Never pay more than professionally appraised value.
For $89k car, pay for the appraisal!
