Pics from Back in the Day

I was married the same day, but my mother in law wouldn't allow my GTX on site. She bought a used Cadillac for the affair. After the transmission went out, the Cadillac was sitting in her driveway on four flat tires a few years later. I still have the wife.

Here's my Charger the year I bought it, I was 18 and it was 1986, it was my first car. Rusty F8 green, matching green vinyl top, white interior...complete with rust holes in the fenders and quarters, but a strong 383 Magnum. The seller said it was his son's car, but didn't mention why he was selling it...he was asking $2400, I bargained down to $2200. I still have the hand-written bill of sale. Does anybody know what make of slots these are? The rears are your basic chromed steel recessed slots, but the fronts are an unusual kind I've never seen before--or since, with a raised ring just outside the slot holes, they're not simple recessed slots like the rears.

I wish we still had that Volare...

Those look like chrome steel slots rather than aluminum slots.

Yes, that's what they were, I mentioned that. :) In a nod to her legacy, Grendel will be sporting polished aluminum US Mags Indy 101 slots.

I've seen those rear slots a ton, but none of my internet research has turned up a set of slots that look like those fronts...
