I know it is a long shot i am trying to find my engine and trans that came in my 1969 Superbee from the factory and maybe the Build sheet .car came out of Detroit Michigan .thank you for your time and here is the last six numbers of the vin 282892 thanks again Bobby

It does happen. In 1997, ten years after he bought the car, the third owner of my former Hemi GTX reunited it with the original engine. I know the story is true, because I saw the engine being run on a stand in the Carlisle swap meet, where he discovered it. He traded two rebuilt Hemi short blocks to get it back. I would have loved to have seen his expression when he checked the VIN stamping.
