I am looking for someone who can restore my 69 Charger heater box? Thanks

@steve817 or @70gtx440dana
Contact either of these guys; I believe either one can help and may even have a replacement heater box available for a swap, if you don't mind trading the original heater box.

I just sent the core to Glen Ray and ordered the foam/rubber kit and restored it myself.

Just take a few before pics and if you run into issues use the forum.

So what did they actually do for you? I will look at the foam kit you listed. thanks

If yours is in not need of repairs, don't be afraid to do it yourself. This is from a '70 E-Body I had a few years ago. The disassembly is easy and self explanatory. Take pictures. (I even have the stamp for the yellow part number on the B-Body style.)

I have never taken one apart, Do you mean on repairs to the fiber box? Or are there inside components like the fan and heater core. Non A/C unit

Yes, I mean repairs to the fibre box. If you have no repairs, the rest of it is very simple, very basic - especially a non-AC box. There's the heater core and fan motor. On my "restoration" I used a Scotch Brite pad and steel wool on the fan motor, the door, and the metal cable mounting brackets. I thought it came out fantastic. Again, just take pictures.

Glen Ray Re-cored the heater core only. They do excellent work and have great communication. From what I have understood allot of aftermarket units have fit and tube length issues.

DIY is a fun project. I've done several, the latest an A/C - heater box for daughter's 69 Charger. The rebuild kits are pretty complete. We managed to locate an NOS heater core. One suggestion, whether you do it or not, mock it up before you install to check function.

I've got mine apart and will have the original heater core (non-AC) redone. I need to fix some of the fiber box as pieces are broken off in a few areas. I'm assuming I can use a fiberglass repair kit to fix some of the broken parts? Anyone been successful with that?

I did my own for my '70, too. Got the foam/rubber kit from DMT. A thorough cleaning and some sandblasting, lubing the fan and some POR-15 for the metal parts. Getting the heater box in and out was the hard part. The resto wasn't too hard at all.
