Guys I have spent an hour looking at photos on the net trying to ID these seats. What I KNOW is that they are not 1970 Superbee seats. They have a thin metal accent right in the crease in the seat back. Thanks!
Thank you for your help. A little disappointed that they are not even B body seats but it is what I got with the car twenty some years ago.72 Duster or Demon. A Classic Industries or Legendary Interior catalog is a good reference for stuff like this.
Definitely buckets, but the car was a basket case when purchased. Bare body and a pickup load of parts the seller gathered from his stash - not all of them were right for the car.Your fender tag might tell you if it was originally a bench seat or bucket seat car.
They are not BUT check as they may have the correct b-body tracks on them..Are the tracks interchangeable with the 70 B body? Looks like I have some things to learn on seat science.
I am trying to figure that out. I just don't see much difference between A, B and E body seat frames and I THINK I could use the A body frames I have with B body foam and seat skins. The photo is a screenshot of an ebay add from Van's Auto and they say the new seat frame fits all three body types. I'm wondering about the spacing on the seat frames for the sliders - my A body frames are about 14 3/4" side to side and about 12" forward and back. Anyone have a B body seat frame they could measure?Pic looks like A body tracks. I believe the bolt pattern is the same or very close between the two? Wondering if you had foam and covers for a 70, could you use the frames? Listing wire setup is different of course. Maybe if someone had 70 seats to swap?
