69bfan added a new event:

Chrysler at Carlisle; Carlisle, PA.; July 10th-13th

We are officially less than 100 days away from the kick off of the Chryslers at Carlisle. As in previous years, the FBBO tent will be a great way for those who will be attending an opportunity to meet up and put a face to the names that we see here on this site. If you are unable to attend, I am sure that pictures of the weekend activities will be posted so as to share in the memories created over the weekend. For those who have been to the event before, you are aware of what an awesome...

@69bfan I see a 1 day pass for $11. If I were to buy that with no intention of going (I'm on the Left Coast), and I name FXBO as my affiliation, would that count towards our standing? Asking for a bunch of friends.

@SlingLow, for a registration to count towards the Carlisle supported tent sponsorship, it must be a car registered to be shown during the event. So purchasing an event pass for a day or the weekend will not counts towards the tent registration. Lets say that you register your 68 Dart for the show field and you decide to drive your 2025 Ram, then that would count. If you should decide to change your car in which your bringing, you can contact Carlisle events and they will update your registration to reflect the vehicle that your bringing onto the showfield.

I wish that Carlisle would count the vendors into the mix, but unfortunately, we are not counted into the club preregistration numbers as well.

@SlingLow, thanks for the question and support to this site for your Gold Membership!!

Hi Everyone,

I unfortunately have some sad news to share. I sadly will NOT be at Carlisle again this year. I had my kidney transplant surgery about 2 months ago back in April and I for the most part am doing well, but my doctor does not think its really a good idea that I go to the show with the weather normally being so hot there. She says to look at the weather beforehand, and if it is 70 degrees then thats fine but otherwise I would have to stay in the hotel room with the air conditioning on. So since that is pointless to me and is not the reason I would be going, this is making my decision to not go. I am sorry to inform you of all of this but I “gotta do what I gotta do” and follow the doctors orders I guess, and I also don’t want any issues only 3 months out being so far away from home either. Anyways, my stepdad will still be going though as he has not missed a Carlisle in 30 years and he will be in the “1967-1968 C-body Stock” class with his blue 1967 Sport Fury convertible. So if you would like to, please stop by his white tent with a green Penn Central Railroad flag and say hello. I am sorry to inform you all of this news because I was really looking forward to going back to see all of you and all of the cars, and now I am disappointed. I do hope to be back next year in 2026 though. I will still be following this post, and I also am looking forward to any pictures that you all take and post.

Take Care,
-Eric (66ChargerHI-PO)

Well you are smart to listen to your doctor.
It's almost a certainty that half the time it will be over 90 (with a heat index near 100).
Stay cool my friend.

get yourself good and we'll see you next year; you're FBBO's favorite son!

Picked up the HC from storage in Lakeland, Florida. Road trip North and on to Carlisle!

Too many other great things in Life to enjoy to be worried about a silly car show. You're still with your family and friends and thats all that counts! Congrats on a succesful surgery and we'll see you next year for sure! I'll try to post some photos along with everyone else's!

Good luck with your recovery Eric!

I don't want to minimize your dilemma but it reminds me of a story Herb McCandless likes to tell. A few years ago he ended up in the hospital right before Carlisle. He was restricted to his room and the doctors told him he'd be there for awhile. Herb, being Herb said something like "Doc, you have to release me so I can go to the big show! People are depending on me."
At some point the doctor Googled Herb McCandless and was so impressed that he was released in time.

Sadly, he was scheduled for a serious cancer treatment or surgery a couple weeks ago so I'm hoping he'll be able to attend.

We are downsizing our setup over in row C for this year. I have two spots available, C61 and C62. If your interested in one or both spaces, drop me a message or a call at 404-643-576zero. I will be leaving Sunday night for Carlisle, so I am in the process of loading out for the show., so if your interested, I can meet up outside of the gate and hand them over. These spaces are very flat and in a great spot. Price is $100 each.

Thanks, Richard

Where's the best place to park for carrying parts back to my truck from the swamp meet? Thanks
Parking as close to gate 1 or gate 2 would give you the shortest walk. There is a school right next to gate 1 that has event parking.

Hi all - new guy here , my son and I want to come over to the event this year, we are about 3 hours away, any suggestions for hotels and the event in general ? I assume lots of walking plenty of water etc. First time coming to this event we are thrilled!
